Data Deletion Request
Last updated: 30 August 2026
You can ask HEART Humanitarian Foundation to delete the personal information we hold about you, including anything associated with our Facebook Page or our WhatsApp business number. This page explains how, and what happens next.
1. What this covers
This page covers information we hold as a result of your contact with us, including:
- Messages you have sent to our WhatsApp business number +1 (717) 881-8186, and our replies
- Your phone number and any contact details you gave us
- Messages, comments or reactions you have left on our Facebook Page
- Information you submitted in an application for assistance
- Correspondence you have sent us by email
2. How to request deletion
Use whichever of these is easiest for you.
By WhatsApp
Send the single word DELETE to +1 (717) 881-8186 from the number you want erased. Sending STOP instead will end messaging without deleting your history.
By email
Email Info@HeartHumanitarianFoundation.Org with the subject Data deletion request. Tell us the phone number, email address or Facebook name we should look for, so we can find your records.
You can also write to us at HEART Humanitarian Foundation, 502 W 7th St, Suite 100, Erie, PA 16502-1333, United States.
3. What happens next
Within 5 business days
We acknowledge your request and tell you who is dealing with it.
We confirm it is you
We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that we do not delete someone else's records on a stranger's say-so.
Within 30 days
We delete what we are able to delete, and confirm to you what was removed and what, if anything, we had to keep.
4. What we may have to keep
We cannot always delete everything, and we would rather say so plainly than promise otherwise. We may need to keep:
- Financial records of donations and of funds transferred to beneficiaries, which a 501(c)(3) charity is required to retain and report to the Internal Revenue Service — ordinarily for at least seven years.
- Sanctions screening records, where retaining them is required to evidence our compliance with United States law.
- Anything we are required to keep by a court order, a regulator, or in connection with a legal claim.
Where we must retain a record, we keep the minimum necessary and stop using it for any other purpose.
5. Information held by Meta
Deleting your information from our records does not delete it from Facebook or WhatsApp, which are operated by Meta Platforms and hold their own copies under their own policies. To remove information held by Meta, use the controls in the Facebook and WhatsApp apps or contact Meta directly.
Similarly, donations processed by PayPal and applications submitted through Adobe Acrobat Sign leave records with those providers, governed by their own retention policies.
6. Questions
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a deletion request, tell us at Info@HeartHumanitarianFoundation.Org and we will look at it again.
